I have a '65' plate Leon ST FR 184 tdi with 17" alloys.

I only have the tyre inflation kit in the boot, but as I drive abroad occasionally, I want a proper spare wheel. I have seen the genuine Seat spare kit is £200.

Can anyone please confirm this genuine spare wheel on ebay will fit, and that I can just purchase a 1 tonne scissor jack and wheel nut brace and save myself £100?

Cheers.

Hi bud I've got a new unused wheel/tyre combo that'll be compatible with what you have. I've upgraded my 17 to 18 and got and 18 spare now. So I have this other spare. Drop me a DM if you want mate. Any questions please ask.

You could try contacting this seller, they may have full spare wheel kit for ST, the kit is slightly different to a 5 door version (at least it is on my ST)

Thanks for the replies.
Having read other threads, it seems I need the 16" space saver with 17" alloys.
So I have purchased the genuine one in the ebay link above for £70, a 1.5 tonne scissor jack for £23 from screwfix, and a 17mm telescopic wheel brace for £7, so I think I've got everything I need, including a genuine spare wheel, for £100. A saving of £100 over the genuine Seat kit.

Yes, that will fit.

You also will need the securing bolt to hold it down in the boot.

The ST well is big enough to take a full-sized alloy. The best thing to do is pick up all the bits individually.

We have a Leon ST, an Ibiza FR and my son has an Ibiza Eco. I've done the same thing for all three cars. Buy an alloy the same as the ones on the car and a tool kit to fit. Why run a space-saver when you can have the correct wheel?

You can buy all of the bits on eBay cheaply, I just bought a jack-kit for £20. I bought two good condition 17'' Ibiza alloys with good tyres for £150.

This is the design of jack-kit I would recommend: LINK It is a Skoda part number but it is the correct jack head profile for the Mk3 Leon. It is also a double-scissor jack, so safer, and there is a good amount of extra room in the box for other things. I have jump-leads, a big screwdriver etc in there. It will fit in an alloy of 16'' and over.

Where do I get one these from please?

Here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Spare-Wh...242554?hash=item2aa257157a:g:nHcAAOSwmWFantia

There are different lengths (letter at the end of the part number changes for each length) and the length you need depends on the wheel / tool kit.

If you have just bought the wheel but arent fitting the foam tool kit in the centre then the length probably isnt going to be an issue. I got one which was a bit long then cut it to the correct length with a hack saw.

Thanks for the link to the securing bolt. My car already has one of these to hold down the foam with the pump and sealant bottle, so I have just secured the spare wheel with that.

The wheel that has arrived has the part number 5Q0 601 027 AR. When you google that part number, on a lot of websites it comes up as a VW Eos spare wheel. Can someone confirm it will definitely fit in the event of an emergency?
