these aerials are very good if you buy a quality one, the design of these aerials are off jet fighters for the uhf/vhf radios that they use ,so the range will be good so your reception should be good 2, but you get what you pay for!!!!

sorry for goin off topic. But where you get those rear lights from? They look cool on the car! I have standard, but I tinted em so they look better (black car + darker lights = cool)

whenever i follow i beeza wi "standard" rear lights, i always think they should be tinted, well if ots a blackone anyway.

other than lexus lights and LED style rear light, i didnt think there was an alternative. but hey, they look good

I went to get one of the A3/mk5 Golf aerials at the weekend and was told that they do the gps and satnav and was told that they wouldn't work, has anyone got a part number of the one that they used and is known to work, i was told this in both audi and vw dealers.

Thanks Tim

The reception will be significantley less with any aeirel which is smaller than standard. Without going into too much boring detail - for the best reception an aeirel should be half the wavelength. For FM this is about 1.5M. Most cars now use 1/8 length which would be about 40cm. The reception on these is far less but better electronics means that the signal can be amplified better.

To make a stubby or sharkfin work you would need to add an amplifier in to the circuit to get decent quality (might be built into some of them?)

End of physics 101:)

I cant imagine it being any worse than it is already lol, the only thing that i want to make sure is that it will fit before i buy one.
