the flap that goes over the top of the steering collum lifts up ant theres 2 philips screws 1 eaither side then the clocks pull out, the smd led's are soldered to the actual circuit board tho.

You can't check the led really unless you really like electronics/soldering, it's not like a bulb you just "turn - in"

as long as i can get to circuit board which it is soldered to i can check weather it is getting a signal to switch on and weather it is working properly!
