Hi all. Just got my new Leon Mk3 1.8tsi FR last week and am very happy with it. One problem is I cannot get the USB to play anything. Tried my ipod, iphone 5 and a usb with Mp3's on it and all come up as "cannot support data" I think. Funny thing being that my iphone being plugged in it does not even charge. It is the bog standard stereo system that's in it.
It will however play tunes off an SD card plugged into the front of it. Anyone any ideas?

Yeah I got both cables and using both I've successfully connected a multitude of devices. iPod included. My iPhone also charges using the apple specific cable. Hope you get it sorted.

I'd take a guess at you probably needing one of these:

If you wish you can purchase what is essentially the same cable from SEAT for about £80 I think!

Purchased, many thanks.

Not sure what the issue is with playing tunes off a memory stick though, the above lead obviously won't help with that.

Thanks for the replies.:)

I have a problem with the cable supplied - the iPhone end of the cable feels really loose in the phone, and when the car goes over a speed bump or even round a sharp corner it disconnects. It's not my phone, as iPod docks, chargers etc all fit perfectly. Does anyone else have this problem?
NB I've got a Mk 3 with the tech pack

Well got the cable and it still doesn't work. I was in the Seat garage yesterday on the way past, the guy reckoned it might need the 70 quid Seat cable, said I'll get them to check it when it's in for it 1st service rather than shelling out £70 to find the USB's knackered.

The cable I linked is the same as the £70 SEAT cable, so I imagine you have an issue with your car. Don't buy the SEAT one!
