i really like the look of the show cage, i was thinking about having a custom show cage magde up but if the 106 cages fit id have one of them! is it a definate good fit? no cutting and it sits tidy?

wouldnt want a real one!! take up to much room.least a show cage you can still get people in the back.

I agree with StantheMan to a certain extent, If your gonna do it then get a real one, but at the end of the day i don't plan on rolling my car so why would i want to sacrifice my rear seats and other interior bits to have one? I know it's not all about the looks but in most cases of Rear Cages it is for the looks! Otherwise you'd go all out and get a full cage!

in short...show cages look shite and are shite...completely pointless except for fixing a series of neon lights like a disco

a cage is a cage, it serves one purpose...safety
if it doesnt increase safety then it ghey..

in my opinion :cartman:

even with a saxo show cage i think youll have to remove the rear seats wont you? itll mount before the rear seats surely so theyd have to come out?

I managed to get my proper cage in without having to remove the rear door cards... the back of the car just has no seats in and thats that... not fully stripped

They just rest upon the seats mate! Hence why they are not a safety feature in any way shape or form!

It fits straight in very nicely, you dont need to remove anything, apart from the seat belts on the B pillar.

Sorry to dig up a old thread but i was just wondering if any1 else had ordered a show cage? if so could u please post some pics up!

Me and a mate fitted one to his Mk2 Ibiza GTi and it fits perfectly as long as you have a little patience. Looks good too.

Richybigman - is that the one from ebay? did u have to cut anything on the cage to get it to fit? Where does the bottom of the cage fit 2? Does it just rest on the rear seats?

LMAO - does anyone PLAN to roll their car?? :p

Bill you've got a proper cage post up a pic and show them how it's done!

I don't see the point in adding extra weight to a car unless it's going to do a job such as keeping you safe when you flip the bugger! Plus a proper cage looks 10 times better, you might look like a monkey messing around in a zoo trying to get in and out of the car but it's worth it IMO.

But only viable for those who dont need rear seats, or have other cars available as day to day cars.

If i wanted a Two seater, i'd have bought an Elise.

Some people just want to have the look of the cage without the hassle of not having seats or not being able to easily put the car back to standard.
