Yay! Got my car back!
Well actually it's not so much yay as less to complain about. Got the car on Tuesday evening, the electrical gremlins were traced to an earth that Dublin hadn't reconnected (That's what the dealer's claiming anyway), they've replaced the towing eye that had disappeared from the toolkit, and the diesel leak I'd noticed is apparently condensation running off the air con  (I can't tell the difference between water and diesel apparently - probably have to go back about this one)

The dealer might even have redeemed themselves a bit too - the service manager took the car home on monday night to give it a proper test run and thinks the turbo's a bit noisy, so it trying to get it changed under warranty. Always thought it made a brave whistle, but since I hadn't any other 140PD's to compare it to...

But of course, this couldn't have a happy ending, because the passenger side jack point cover went missing while the dealers had the car. They argued that it wasn't on the car on Monday morning when they started working on it, but given that it had spent the weekend sitting on their unfenced forecourt, it's entirely possible some toerag pinched it. All I know is that it was on it when I handed them the keys on the Saturday (Oh yeah, forgot that - had to take the car to them after all, because the courtesy car was from Enterprise, and I had to sign for it). They've agreed to replace it (after some arguing) and I'll have to chase them about the bits of plastic around the rear seat isofix mounts and seatbelt buckles which have also gone walkies (only noticed this when I was sticking in a child seat last night). And I've noticed a vibration at idle that I don't remember from before...

Suppose I'll have to give it a chance to see how things go...

Where do you get your patience? I'dhave battered someone by now. I'm sure you have no confidence left in the car at all. Any excitement you had at getting a new motor will be LONG gone by now. I'd be fighting for a full refund and taking my business elsewhere. You have my sympathy. Hope it gets sorted:banghead:
