I'm looking to change most of my hoses in the leon. Apart from getting the lengths correct and the diameter. Does shape really come into it? For example a breather hose has a slight bend in the pipe or is it like this to stop any rubbing? If so can anyone show me an example of engine bay of a yellow lcr - cheers

Ive been looking into this aswell, gonna cost a bit i reckon but will look good, just dont know if im just gonna do the main hoses or bit the bullet and do them all

I was looking on ebay and they have on there yellow reinforced silicone hose for £2.40 a metre which i thought was reasonable id say 10-15 metres should be plenty

yeah true, plus u have got to get all your standard coolant hoses, turbo hoses etc which cost quite abit

i've got a mix of 3mm and 5mm on mine - i think 4mm would be ideal. most of the hoses to the dv, fpr etc don't need to be reinforced, just standard silicon hosing will do fine - this is very flexible so will be where-ever you want it too. HTH

Howmuch do you reckon it would cost to replace every hose for silicon? including a decent TIP etc

tip ~ £80
upper boost hoses ~ £120
water coolant hose kit ~ £150
random other hoses ~ £100

not that much then to be honest, was thinking alot more. mind you i couldnt be bothered to fit them myself lol

I was advised 4mm and its pefect for FPR line etc.
I only have 5mm from DV to inlet manifold
Then there is lots of 8mm stuff
