Was watching this on eBay a while ago

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=150242411475

But then spoke to my neighbor and said he'd let me have one, dunno what brand or anything (this was about 6months ago). Anyway, my bro spoke to him yesterday for me, and he said he wouldn't give me a polisher as he doesn't want me to "wreck" my paintwork and then him feel guilty.

So what are these Silverline ones like? Are they good? Are they easy for a Newbie machine user to use?

Yeah, that's what he said

Don't know the full details of the one he had. I know he said the pads he had would cut paint like a knife through butter if did it wrong

Was thinking with this silverline, I can adjust the RPM and use soft pads to start with and get hang of it

may also go to scrappy and pick up a panel

when i got my car detailed, i had a got with a standard rotary with soft start, pretty easy TBH...

1)Put a small amount of cutting paste on.
2) spread evenly throught a small section on low speed to enable a proper application and even spreading.
3) once done, remove pad, then speed up the polisher to certain RPM, then move accross the paint without stopping going horizontal then verticle lines untill the polish has been worked in.
4) turn speed down then 'polish' off the cutting paste.
5) use some quick detailer, and wipe with a cloth to remove dust.

turned out pretty well and only removed a very small amount of paint (used a paint depth thingy)
