Slight hesitation and then it runs perfectly

I've got this annoying problem/issue with the car and it does it in APR performance mode and also in standard mode but less noticable in standard.

If you in say 2nd gear, prowling around 2.5-3k rpm and then floor it it goes, hesitates slightly and then rockets off and pulls all the way to redline.

Its starting to do my nut now.

I've had a look at the DV. its a Forge DV006 i think. It was on the car when i picked it up. The DV was filthy externally and when i opened it up obviously it was full of grease. I serviced it as per Forge instructions but no difference in that the problem still there.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

boost leak somewhere maybe?

mine is doing this funny hesitating at the moment, but i am putting it down to mucky Spark plugs which will changed at impending service soon. May also be another cause.

I did have this issue on my old MK4 Golf 1.8T but i cant remember what the cause was.

I hope its not a boost leak.

Unplug the MAF and take it for a rip, let us know if it pulls any differently....

The previous owner said it had a new MAF recently. So i hope its not that.

got the same issue in my leon just after it got chipped. id try to floor the car and get nothing for a moment.... then it flew!

i contacted forge who sent me a stronger spring for my 007. its much better now.. much less hesitation. told me that it was turbo lag. good guys at forge!

easy to sort so proberly try this first?

I think my Forge valve is knackered, or as you say, the spring aint up to the job.

I'll get it changed and see how things go.

Took it Westec. Grant had a look at it. Unplgged he maf and took it for a blast. No difference.

Grant seems to think the spark plugs are stuffed for a start. It hasnt had it 40k service yet so the plugs are the originals he says so hopefully that will make a difference.

I'll know on monday.

mate id email forge anyways. seems that once your chipped the stock forge spring needs updating. they sent the spring free of charge so id get this done before spending out more cash.

Just had a look at all the paperwork i had with the car and tuns out its had its 40K service!

So thats put a spanner in the works.

Is it still worth changing the plugs? What plugs do SEAT put in standard?
