Slightly irratic revs at idle?

I noticed something strange last night. The car was cold as i'd just finished work. I had been driving normally and then had to slow down for some traffic lights. As I pressed the clutch and the revs dropped, they did; but then became slightly irratic and just sort of fluctuated/jumped a little bit until they settled. It may be normal, as it didn't really immediately stand out as being a potential problem; but may be? The fluctuations weren't high; maybe from tickover point to a few hundred RPM.

Any idea's anyone? I am experiencing hesitation problems when coming onto boost every now and again, could the 2 faults be related?

Mine does this sometimes - I'm not exactly sure what it is but it's never really caused a problem.

Mine does it every now and again but I've never really worried about it. I guess it might be a MAF issue?

I defo dont think its 'normal', as my last Cupra didn't do it that I can rmemeber.

Maybe the DV, I have a Forge 007p.

Il just leave it, as everybody else's seems to be doing the same!! If it gets any worse, il look into it!

If its cold would it not be the auto choke? Sounds pretty normal

Indeed it may be; but I think it does it when hot aswell, maybe...

mine dos it nearly all the time..........hot ,cold, whatever,even more so when the air con is on

yeah if you are idling and put on your air con and heated window on it does it. it's strange but doens't really concern me

The idle should be rock solid, regardless of what you're doing.

I'd be looking for boost/vacuum leaks, faulty or failing MAF or a sticking DV.
