Slippery when wet.........pedals

Gents,

I noticed my pedals are very slippery when my shoes are any way wet at all, to the point when I am concerned about my foot slipping off the clutch. It makes no difference if I am wearing converse to oxfords, any ideas? Would pedal covers help? If so what is best?

I replaced mine with the golf mk7 / Cupra stainless steel ones. You can pick them up for around £30 on eBay. I've had no problems with slippage and they enhance the look of your car!!

do you happen to have a link? I dont want to fit rubbish ones, are they easy to fit?

I have the same problem. Foot actually slipped to the top of the clutch earlier!

Must be what ever is in Irish rain! or the fact it never stops raining

This is really annoying, happens all the time. Think I'll have to invest in something like mentioned above.

annoying and dangerous! I did a google search and its a common issue on many makes of car, seemed to be a common fix also.

Only time I've had that problem is after refuelling because my bottom of my shoes are covered in diesel spilt by others. (Have a FR 1.4 ACT 150)

Rub your feet on the mats first. Dry shoe soles no more slippage.
