Small key like tears on steering wheel

Hi Guys

I have just had my car returned after some work done in the repair shop. There appears to be very small faint tears almost as if a key has been run down by the side of the steering wheel. It is very minimal - I just wondering if there is a good way to reduce the noticeability of the tears or cover it up totally (somehow).

Any suggestions would be great
