I think officially the Burg had no engine tweaks so it was the same power output, the only reason it produced a few extra horses was due to the new Remus exhaust system they put on it, so it went up from 240ish to around 255 I believe.

Just shows how restrictive some exhaust systems can be.

Yeah the only difference performance wise is the Remus exhaust which came as standard on burgs and option on the racing models. To be fair when stage 2/3 VXR's are pretty quick (corsa and Astra) and surprise a fair few cars out there.

But they do have there problems which seem to happen on every vxr.

Chocolate M32 gearbox, wheel bearings, aircon pipe and piston 4 on corsa (not as common)

My old Astra vxr was running just shy of 300bhp/340lbft of torque and it was a bloody quick car. I had the full turbo back miltek on mine and it popped and banged a lot. I must admit it sounded awesome lol. The gearboxes are a huge weak point in them tho and mine went tits up 6 weeks into ownership with a £1360 bill. They still look great as well IMO.

There's a guy on VXRonline (WarrenG) who repairs them and he's first class due to all the practice he gets lol.

I had a 1.9 cdti 150 boxed.. for a while.. I got rid due to he amount of gearbox failures I was seeing on the forums.
