What works out better? engine rebuild or a simple replacement engine?

thing is getting a new engine or recon and then sticking 320 through it... anyone going to care if it goes wrong?

bore wear was excellent and the engine is settled. if it had just gone on me fair enough but she did this from day one.. it was letting me down in one area... known engine with an issue

so true, what are the main things to upgrade internal wise, would be taking it to around 300bhp, any parts that wont be able to handle that?

you should be ok... but id get a commpression/leak down test done before spending money. find out what the smoking is... if theres a weakness 300bhp will find it.

rods seem ok until you go above 330 odd... but every engines different... theres always a risk. is yours auq?
