smooth airbox

Sorry if there is already a thread on this but how do you smooth an airbox and has anyone done it on a new Leon FR 170tdi? Im getting varied opinions on K&N-type air filters too - worth the money???? I know airflow is the key but Im still considering a Torquetronix remap . . . .

What do you mean smooth an airbox?
On the outside? Or inside for greater flow?

I fancy one of these but I dont think they do them for derv burners

i had read that the smoother the airbox is inside, the better the airflow. i suppose its the same principle as the big air intakes on my bike . . . . Jace I think youre lucky, you got a quick one

Do both dave!! smooth it out, will be really easy once u see the inside, pointless little fins etc.......
