Well test fitted the rears with the adaptors this evening, looking pretty awesome, just need to order the front adaptors and finish the refurb and get some rubber on :)

comments welcome :)

Wikked mate! Iv just bought some of the same alloys for 150 with tyres. Refurbing them myself and stretching some low profile tyres on them and hoping to sell for a profit. How much did these cost you mate if you don't mind me asking?

i paid a little more than you, but not much :) i cant believe how much room the rear arches have. Its a 10j rim and still i have a 10mm gap between the rear strut and tyre.

and i think its about time i started a readers ride since i have had the car two years and never bothered to start one

look gd will b real nice when fitted

got a mate with a set on his passat and look awesome

matt

i still need to measure up what size adaptors i will need to fit the fronts, but i think its going to be a custom made job. Thanks for the comments, just deciding on a wheel colour, i am thinking of doing them a dark shade of silver. i cant wait to get them on either :D

Just had to look at these, one if my work mates has got an X5 so just had to see this...

I thought it would look a bit odd.. but I'm glad to say it looks awesome.

Well done mate.. 10 out 10 for originality.

Mate that looks spot on! Hpw are you going to fit a 9j rim and an adaptor into the arch?

thats what i was thinking, always wanted to fit these to mine but couldnt be bothered with the hassle of adaptors.im sure they will look spot on when they are refurbed and fitted

the rear wheel offset is et48 so need about a 25mm adaptor to bring the wheel away from the coilover, so will be running about et23, which sits pretty much flush with the arch, give or tske a couple of mm
