With the number of posts on rattles I'll post my solution up for all to see.

For about 6 months my glovebox seemed to be rattling, dealers had the car twice but couldn't hear it.

Anyway, it's not the glovebox. There is a plastic piece of trim under the passenger side dashboard which is fixed in place with 3 small plastic screws. These had all come loose on my car, tightned them finger tight and the rattle almost went away...

Tightned them carefully using a pair of pliers and the rattle has gone. I'm thinking of using a glue or thread lock so that they don't come loose again.

Hope it helps someone....

I have an extremely irritating rattle on the left hand side of the dash, seemingly coming from very near the windscreen. If you have any suggestions on that, it may just keep me out of the insane asylum a few more months!

I don't have that one, or many others to be honest.

I'm out of work at the moment so i though i'd spend some time sorting little things out.

I took mine in this week to get a rattle sorted. I specifically told them that it happens at 50mph+ and is coming from the passenger footwell, in the floor, a few inches behind the front wheel. Went back to collect to be told "we've order a replacement centre air vent". That's not even rattling! Do they actually investigate rattles? I'm sure the trip on my dash hadn't even changed.

Anybody knows part number of these screws? I'm afraid one is missing in my cause :(
