Okay so the silver keyring bar thing at the top of the key, has come away from the fob at one side, so no keyring can be attached to the fob, which is a bit of a pain!!

Perhaps silly question, but as my car is still under Seat warranty, would the keyfob be covered?? Im thinking probably no but if anyone has any knowledge it would be appreciated.....

Also has this happened to anyone else on here?

happened to me, bought a new case off ebay, took the circuit board out and put it in the new case and attached the transponder and key part over.

Like Vader, my key has done the same and dealer says its not a warrenty item (wear and tear for gods sake).

Gunner - Sounds like it was a simple procedure? is this something that you need special tools to do, or could 'average joe' have a go?
