Yeah I ordered the SAK-3103 adapters today with next day delivery ready for tomorrow. And I'll try at first with the tweeters connected and see how it feels, I take it you prefer it with both tweeters on then?

Might see if Halfords well give me a discount if I buy 2 sets of speakers ;)

I want to get a sub I just am a novice when is comes to audio and I don't want a big box in my boot so haven't really looked at the options. Need a sub for when I'm listening to Mr Biggie Smalls ;)

I've just changed my headunit from the OEM and it's made a massive difference already. Definitely interested to see how you get on with your speaker change :)

Alright Adz got the speakers installed, Now for you it is going to be completely different, but they did not make a massive difference for me. Less tinny at a high volume.

I've only got an RCD510 so poor output, I'm sure for your it will be a much improved sound.

I'm going to get an underseat sub/amp which should sort me out.

Bit of advice if you follow the guide for the speaker change, Instead of using a hacksaw to remove the lip on the adapters (SAK-3103) just get some fat nosed pliers and they snap off really cleanly saved you about half an hour on each one.

Ah so only option for you is really to swap the head unit then if you want improved sound :(

It's not too tricky to do really :)

You could amp all speakers.

I'm not sure an underseat one will do an awful lot, they aren't powerful. You're looking around 100W RMS whereas my VIBE SLR12 is 450W RMS!

Yeah, I've not heard a decent underseat sub ever to be honest. If you were going to go to the effort of amping up your speakers I'd be looking to change the head unit at the same time anyway.

Does the RNS even have RCA outs??

The RNS doesn't have RCA outputs but it's easy enough to attach a high level converter.

I'm not sure how old his car is, but my cars rns315 integrates with the mfd, it shows the nav, phone, audio. I'd rather amp speakers etc and keep the OEM integration to be honest.
