sound quality in ibiza? default speakers and sound system?

I've took a test ride in the 2012 FR model,
and the default speakers sound really bad, i they are 6.5" both on front and back doors, no?

did u change them? or put a 6*9 on the plate on the back?
did u go for the default sound system like in this pic:

mycarcoach.co.uk/news/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/New-2012-SEAT-Ibiza-5dr-FR-2-0-TDI-143PS-road-test-review-by-Oliver-Hammond-photo-dashboard-front-stack-1024x680.jpg

what is the quality of the default system itself if i'll only change the speakers?
can you play with the bass and treble, choose the balance between the front and back speakers, ans so on?

i've read that in ibiza it's pretty complciated to open the doors in order to replace them, so it would cost more.

and also that if u get a different sound system, like an HD unit, the wheel volume control would not function... is that correct?

if u did buy an HD unit, then which one and how much did it cost?

even a partial answer would be appreciated haha.. the sound quality is something i really look after in cars, and i find it pretty weird that in a new 2012 they can't make enough effort to make it good enough,
so i wanted to know how bad is it, and what are you solutions as ibiza owners

Tbh you are talking about putting 6x9s in a parcel shelf, and then trying to tell me that you look for sound quality.

the standard system is not to bad, there are two levels though 4 and 6 speaker. If you like rear fill get the 6 speaker.

I changed my HU and wired it up so that all the steering controls work just fine.

was very easy and a very simple solution to getting a bit of quality.

But at the end of the day this is a cheap hatchback, you are not going to get huge amounts spent on a stereo which will be used to mostly listen to a bit of radio and fire some tunes out for the younger generation.

There is a huge difference between a £18,000 bocanegra and £80,000 of Jaguar with a £3000 B&O sound system in it.

I find the speakers/ head unit very good. More than loud enough with good bass and very good clarity. Maybe someone messed about with the settings in the one you tested.

i've used to have pioneer 6X9 in the back of my old car, and the sound was great, i'm looking for above the average quality, not for speakers that cost a fortune... as far as i know, u can't get good bass sound from regular 6.5" that the car comes with, and that's why i'm taking about 6X9...

i have a 6 speaker standard setup but it sounded poor on the factory head unit, but as in many cases change the head unit and it will sound 10 times better which is the case here. i get very good mid range from the standards off my pioneer ahv 1400, if you have knowledge in sound engineering then set the unit up correctly using its graphic equilisers and high pass filters, adding 6x9's to the standard HU wont do anything to be honest

if your after bass then change the HU and fit an amp & sub, i did and now im happy as larry, above average qual from standards and sub for below 50hz bass...more than enough to rattle your ears

you cannot get good sound from installing 6x9s in the parcel shelf, it just doesn't work that way, do it right and get a sub and amp, even the little under seat ones are an improvement.

Yes, you can set bass, treble, middle, balance left-right and fade front-rear.

Actually before throwing it all out you should check that the bass, treble and middle aren't at crazy settings they can make a big difference.

Hmm, so far you have complained about the paint, the engine, the gearbox, the headroom, the radio - quality and angle, and the brakes, that's brakes BTW, not breaks, that's when you have your Kit Kat. Don't know what budget you have or what country you are in but perhaps the Ibiza is never going to meet your standards.

+1 And this is his complaints BEFORE he has even bought the car

Waits for the post "can I reject my car?". I smell a troll?

Doesn't sound like the Ibiza is the car for you. To me my Ibiza pulls like a train, sound system is good and has good headroom.

these aren't complaints, I just want to hear your opinion about these issues. what's better than asking someone that already got the car? and what's the logic in asking such questions after you already buy it?

You say you test drove a 1.2 TSI FR and you have come up with an extensive list of faults with the car and are asking people for fixes. Tell us what is so compelling about the car that you are prepared to spend money fixing what you don't like.

When I test drove a 1.2 TSI it was the drive and handling that convinced me to order one. Quite frankly the angle of the radio didn't feature on my radar.

Well it was the super mini that I liked the most out of the category.

All of the questions have been asked and answered so many times on this forum - we continually go round in circles.

OEM SQ is average/good for standard parts
fitting a aftermarket HU is a piece of piss
yes it will work with the steering wheel stalks if you get the right parts
yes it will make the OEM parts sound better
No you shouldnt buy 6x9's you chavvy :censored: noob
