As a new seat fr mk5 owner i would Just like to add to the above comments & ask a question. I find the sound system ok but not great! I am very disappointed that the four speakers advertised were not two in the front & two in the back as I presumed. But two in the front & two tweeters in the A posts. To solve this problem how can I fit an extra pair of speakers & wiring into the rear doors / radio to solve my problem? Any help would be appreciated!

Standard stereo

Hi All
I have a 61 model SE with 6 speaker stereo and my main complaint is with the audio quality of the inbuild USB-input music player.

CD sounds OK but playing 320k MP3 produces lots of stange audible artifacts in quiet tracks. I also tried WMA and Vob Orbis at similar data rates and all were equally corrupted. It's a shame as my whole mobile music collection is on a 16mb stick and 320k mp3's sounds great in most music players.

Has anyone else expored this?

As stated elsewhere; this is a budget car however it's a sad that the standard stereo has cut so many corners.

Guess I need a really loud exhaust system.....

medview - have you tried a better memory stick ?

I bought a cheap memory stick at first and thought the sound was lacking.

Then I got hold of a higher transfer speed (more expensive) memory stick and it improved the sound quality.

See if you can borrow a memory stick from someone who has good sound in their Ibiza and try it.
