Depending which spacers you go for depends on what bolts you need. The 15mm ones I have are bolt through but if I wanted the 20mm the were bolt on I believe.

Correct me if I'm wrong, the straight bolt on type I have require longer bolts - by the same amount as the thickness of the spacers - but the double bolt on type as in the picture above only needs another set of the standard bolts as the the spacer-to-hub holes are recessed

The bolt through type require longer bolts.
The bolt on type do not need longer bolts as these bolt onto the hub, then the wheel bolts onto the spacer.

I'd agree with this TBH ... running longer bolts is a pain in ass anyway...

Unsure how they can be a pain the ass?!?!?

As I've said hub centric with longer bolts are fine in my eyes and I've had no problems since fitting.

They are slightly harder to line up when fitting wheel as spacer can spin a bit, simply sorted by applying a bit of copper grease to the joining surfaces, which stops most of the spinning & makes them easier to remove,or simply use a rod (or there is s special alignment extended bolt available at £8).
The important thing is that the spacer is hubcentric.
I run Eibach ones with long bolts,SUPERB :)

As you said dude I've copper greased them and they stay in place.

No issues with longer bolts in my eyes and def don't think they're dangerous!

Will I be able to use normal bolts with 10mm spacers?
My mate wants to buy a set of 10 bolt through ones

I take it you mean normal Extended bolts.....As obviously with std. length bolts you would have about 5-8mm to grip hub MAX.If you fit spacers, you need bolt on with 2 sets of bolts or extended bolts which should add the depth of the spacer to the length of the bolt.
