speaker upgrade

hi all i know this has been spoken about but im looking into upgrading the speakers on my car and just want to know what you think are the best ones??? and if anyone has done it what did they use?
 
I to am after a not to expensive speaker upgrade that is just plug and play in my current door holes.....
 
Me too. I want a direct replacement for the speakers plug and play but not with a tweeter built in.
 
Me too.. I want to replace the speaker & the tweet, read & read all the guides, just unsure about the wiring for the speaker & tweeter upgrade.

I put Vibe slick 6 speakers all round in mine, excellent quality for the money.

Another good choice would be JBL speakers again excellent quality for the money.

You need 165MM speakers, I went with FLi.

You will those adapters to bring the speakers forward so that they sit against the cover, these dont exist for seat so you'll need to buy golf ones and remove a lip from it (I simply snapped them off with pliers, the guide on here done it differently.

The holes from the adapters are also too slim so either buy screws with a smaller head or use a 11mm drill bit to widen them.

And you will need wire adapters so that its a straight plug in

In doing this there is no need to rewire anything, or fiddle about with the tweeters. Semi plug and play

So what do people recommend as 165mm direct replacement upgrade. In the past I've always had vibe or jbl but that's when I had full components and sub's. Now I just want to spend around £50 for the fronts plus the adapters. I want to leave the wiring standard so I can take them out if I need too

Will these adapters fit once trimmed?

I have just realised that the seller is still advertising the Kenwoods as a direct fit, which I took to mean that the adaptors weren't required, I did tell him that this was mistaken and he seemed to indicate that he was going to amend the description.
 
Hi are these any good for my preface lift 08 57plate seat leon ebay item no 130989864716...

I dont want to cut my tweeter standard wires so was going to buy these adapters aswell ebay item no 151140751081 will this be ok?

Back when I was 20 I understood all this stuff, now I just a 40yr old, old fart who just wants to here his 90's dance music with a bit more sound ha ha

Looks all fine but I'm not sure on that make of speaker? Can't say I've ever heard of them

I didn't do anything about the original tweeters, I reckoned that if the sound was terrible I'd do something
 
Cool I mite give these Mac audio a try then, as they come with the door adapters as well........
