speedo an fuel gauge problem!!!!

hello,

my speedo seems to have stopped working completly and my fuel gauge is going crazy when i go around corners or up and down hills? does anybody have any ideas what this could be? sensor maybe?

Fuel gauge could be an issue with the sensor in your tank.. as far as i know they are usually dampened to some extent, to stop such fluctuations in car position constantly affecting your guage... Sounds as if yours is just bobbing up and down freely??

I'm sure someone will correct me but thats my 2p's worth

VAG dashboards are as robust as chocolate.

I'm not sure I follow? This might explain the speedo but not the fuel level indictaor fluctuating... Also I'd like to think VAG dashboards are pretty decent. certainly when compared to *cough* french* *cough cough*...
