I have recently had the sports spoiler fitted to my Mk3 - however, with an eye for detail, I noticed that it wasn't painted correctly at on one of the edges (white coming through and no lacquer) so it is going back to get re-done.

My problem now is that with this eye for detail, I have noticed the colour is not a great match. My car is Alor blue, but the spoiler looks a bit darker. Should I be kicking up a stink about this? or is this what is to be expected from painting the new (plastic) spoiler and it being fixed to the existing tailgate (metal)?

Yeah I thought as much. It is still going back to the stealers as they clearly missed a bit - a patchy effort.

Anyways, I have to say, the spoiler itself makes the car look spot on (I recon this should have been standard on the FR models) - even without the performance pack bumper.

I have had another look at the spoiler and now I am even more raging with the paintwork...trying to post pics...

Yeah it isn't great, but the paint job they have done isn't good at all. Not sure what to do if they make a poor attempt to fix it on Monday!

I can't even pm...the links to the photos are here...not sure if someone can repost with gaps closed?!

Yup, I wouldn't be happy with that either. I'd go as far as to say it looks like the wrong paint code was used.
