Hi all further to my previous thread about wrapping or painting my spoiler and wing mirrors, i bit the bullet today and painted them gloss black, i managed to impress myself haha, no paint running nice and even coats and a lovely shiny finish, heres a list of what i used:
1 can of plastic primer
few sheets of 180 grit paper and p1200
Few tack rags
1 Can of Plastikote Gloss Black paint
1 can of clear lacquer

and spaced the job out over the full day, only put last coat of lacquer on about 25mins ago, overall i put a base of 2 coats of plastic primer once sanded, and to be honest i think i put 5 maybe even 6 coats of black but real thin coats to prevent any running of the paint, and 2 coats of lacquer and im absolutely stoked with the finish, (wheels tomorrow haha)

Good job mate, I used the plastikote myself.

How hard was the spoiler removal?

Absolute doddle mate 3 small nuts hold it on and the 3rd brake light is held in with 2 phillips screws, but unplugs under the headlining, took me about 5 mins once id located the bolts, should go well aslong as the diy roof carbon wrap goes as sweet lol

Cheers mate! Have something I want to do but need the spoiler off.

Also may go t@ts up so need it planning properly.

When you do the wheels make sure you sand them first to get a good grip for the new paint, an area of mine has flaked slightly as I must of missed that little bit

They look really good. Very tempted to do mine after seeing this.

Do you still need to laquer them? Did you wet sand them down between coats?

Sent from my IPhone when I should be doing Work!!

I'm not being a bitch just being constructive, when I did mine they went gay, so did them again and it smooths the finish especially spraying using rattle cans, halfords stuff is very good.

Have you got any pics of them back on your car?
Are you having the roof wrapped as well?
