Sport mode engine sound

Hi, quick question if I may; I understand that the FR changes/amplifies the engine sound in sport mode. Is this a result of:

1) it playing sounds through the stereo

2) a speaker behind the bulkhead like in some of the mk 2's

3) an exhaust actuator like on the GTD's

I've paid for the 10 speaker system and am not keen to have engine noise played through it. I assume if that is how it works I can set my custom profile to be sport minus the sound mod?

It's an exhaust actuator, similar to the one in the GTD, but also in de Ibiza Cupra 2013. Wouldn't make sense to use a different system than the GTD, since it shares the same platform.

Nice one, Thank you. Do you know if it's only on the hot ones? Borrowed a 150ps tdi SC for a week and can't see the option in the driver profile or hear any difference in sport mode.

Yeah, only on the higher ones, not the 150.

Thanks again. I read all FR's somewhere but assumed that was not right because surely if it was mechanical it would be engine not spec dependent
