Hello, I have a very annoying little squeak! Basically when driving along with the window open I can hear a short squeaking sound every now and then, it's the same sound as squeaky brakes sound if u know what I mean. Could this be brakes sticking on? If so how do I rectify this? I'm pretty sure it's coming from passenger side as I jacked front up with hand brake off and spun both front wheels in turn and the front passenger one was rubbing very slightly but drivers one didn't rub atall and moved freely? Any help much appreciated! Cheers

Does it stop with a slight pressure on the brake pedal ?

I'm getting a similar thing with my LCR. Get high-pitched squeaking sort of sound, mainly when going slow and is worse/more prominent when turning.
I think I had the same thing on an old Focus and my mechanic just said he filed something down to stop it.

I have the exact same problem ATM (I presume it's the same anyway...).
As above, seems to be more frequent at slow speed, even does it without the engine on just by rocking the car about...however this doesn't always happen either.
Haven't established what it is yet; think it's a mount/bush or something similiar.

Definitely not this for me, but I'm more than happy to be wrong.
I'lll try and get a video but I don't think it's this either (however I'm not going to rule it out) but I appreciate the video mate. The noise is a different tone....I'll see if I can get a vid of it because everytime I've taken it to my mates it's never done it

Same as DScape, mine is more of a whiny noise, rather than creaking. Sounds like something rubbing and tends to only happen at slower speeds, although it starting to appear at around 25mph as well now.
Had the same m8, to cut a long a long story short...my car went in for a new osf wheel bearing but they decided not to fit a new one and took the disc off pads out etc instead, and its been nearly 2wks and there hasn't been any noise since.
