Squeaky Seat

Evening all, just wondering if anyone else out there has a squeaky seat problem. This is starting to drive me crazy, it sounds as though im drivin a taxi!! Any suggestions?

Where exactly? Think the suspension does have a habit of 'squeaking'. If you do a search there might be some more info. A shot of WD40 in the right places can cure it.

It sounds as though its coming from inside the seat somewhere, i know its not the suspension as ive got the usual problem coming from the rear suspension when its wet.

Drivers or passengers?? My passenger seat rattles unless sum1 is sat in it! I use the standard ibiza method for dealing with interior rattles.....turn the stereo up!!!!

I had this exact problem. A squeaky seat which will turn out to be a lumbar spring.

Take it into seat and say can you sort my queaky seat please.....

mine dos it sometimes i diet and it goes na mine swueeks sometime il take it out and strip the seat down and sort it when i can be assed

It wouldnt be a mk4 ibiza without a few squeaks and rattles!!

nothing will make me hate the seat!!! certainly nota rattle or a squeek

I dont look at the interior being so rattley as a problem, its just character!

Hi mate. I had exactly the same problem on my 54 plate SE. The drivers seat squeaked everytime you moved in it. went back to the dealers 4 times in all before finally getting sorted. it was a rod in the back of the seat which had become unclipped, simple solution, they clipped the rod back in and secured it. squeak was gone but got rid of the car a few months later for one without any squeaks and rattles. hope this helps

nice i do like the mk2's so you recon seat have improved cabin noise? as mentioned earlier on some people it bothers having roadnoise and rattly interior but i really aint fussed

i recon they have. its a great drive and cabin noise isn't an issue. can't usually hear it when stereo is on. mk2's are great fun and incredibly quick!
