squeaky steering wheel

hey, got a problem with the steering wheel. When i turn it whilst drivin it makes the most annoying squeaky noise. when had it serviced they mentioned it bt bcoz their computers wernt workin they couldnt fix there n then. is this something i (not a mechanically minded person) could attempt to fix or is it beyond my limited talents?

a bit of 3 in 1 oil maybe or a bit of plastic trim not seated correctly and rubbing on the under side of the steering whell ????

i think they mentioned a coil or something, maybe trying to fleece me of more dollar!

I've been having this recently. It Only seems to happen when turning right and sounds like it's coming from the steering wheel somewhere in front of the dash.

yup sounds similar, altho mine squeeks either direction! doesnt seem to do it after a really long journey tho

it could be the slip ring which is inside the wheel. it is also knowen as a coil
