I recently retrofitted an MIB 2 high in my Leon ST from EastYorkshireRetrofits and everything has been going well, but recently I had to get an oil change and since I have VCDS I decided to reset the service interval myself as I have done before.

Problem is that this time trying to reset the SRI gives me an error "The specified values could not be saved on channels: 1" and so I decided to try and do it manually through Instruments -> Adaptations -> SRI Reset. Changing the value to Resetting gave me a "Request out of range" error. Then I decided to just reset the oil service through the Reset button on the instrument cluster which did appear to work. After all of this on the full scan I also got a fault saying "1048578 - No Basic Setting".

I am not exactly sure if the retrofitted MIB 2 is causing issues, but I also can't use my inbuilt navigation since the car doesn't want to use the navigation database even tho it recognizes it when SD card is inserted.

I have attached a file with the full scan and the SRI reset log data.

I would really appreciate if anyone has any suggestions.

Update:

After 2 hours I finally found out that for some reason sometimes the instruments module will accept adaptations and sometimes it won’t. So the solution was to manually reset the values and each time I get an error to turn off the car, take out the key, wait for a couple of minutes and connect and try again. The SRI reset procedure never fully worked.

Recently? I can't remember the last time we sold an MIB2high unit 👀👀

It's likely MIB2std, especially given the nav SD. If you're who I'm guessing you are, I'm looking into this issue at the moment

It will always recognise the card itself due to the CID

I bought the 8 inch version, from what I know that should be the MIB2 High? I may be in the wrong tho 😂
