Starship Altea XL has Landed

The new SEAT Altea XL has touched down in UK showrooms, offering vast luggage space (the largest in its class, in fact), superb value and typically sporty SEAT dynamics.

XL by name, and extra large by nature, the newcomer joins the existing Altea to fully capitalise on customer demands for ever greater space and flexibility, but in doing so does not sacrifice driving pleasure or fresh, appealing design.

Compared with the standard Altea, the new XL is targeted much more at families, which means the kids will literally be Lost In Space.

saw it today at NEC. Must say i am suitably impressed

always tended to lean towards bigger cars, just because. No reason really.
started to look for a replacement for the 406, coz it's old and got 128k up now (and it's french crap )
was considering a Sharan/Alhambra TDi. swaying over to the VW side, coz the Carat version is much better spec'ed
but having seen the XL today in the flesh, would more than happily have one.
Is it likely to come out in the lovely purple shown on the Leon cupra at NEC/London excel???? i cant remember what the colour is called?? but very similar to my previous Mondeo called aubergine

Inferi Black, the colour is called. And at the moment its a Cupra exclusive. So give it 6 months you should be alright when the entire range gets the option.
