steering drone!!!!!!

hello all, i dont no if im just being paranoid but when im stationary my car makes a strange drone when i move the steering wheel and gets louder if i accelerate. i no the power steering makes a noise when on full lock but this happens even if i move the wheel slightly. the steering seems fine thou! i aint got a clue wot goes on under the bonnet so im just hoping 1 of you mite no wot it is or if its just normal.

Hiya, had the same problem just recently...even setting off down the road having say, just come out of a parking space...turns out my "power steering fluid" was down...small tank on left of engine bay...need a flat implement to get the top off...top up with "steering fluid" hey-presto...

I've recently had my steering rack replaced due to loss of pressure when turning wheel to the lef.

did you get that done under warranty Steve221? mine grinds when turning left
