Steering wheel change on Leon SportUp

Hi guys,

I need some help... I have a Leon SportUp 2006 1.9tdi, and just bought a FR steering wheel, same year. Will the multi function buttons work the same?
I've been told there is a small ECU controling this.

If its got the same connections then should think so. Why not connect it up?
