Ah but you see the Leon will hit a terminal vertical velocity quickly, typically this is approx 120mph in freefall. The R1 would easily manage more than that, in 2nd gear ;)

your forgeting air friction or resistance.. Leon is bigger.. more friction.. less speed

on serious side.. totaly noob here.. whats the thing with stage1 or stage2?

bump!,

difference between stage1 , stage2? anyone? can you even get cupra from a dealer with DSG?

Stage 2 requires a full exhaust system and air filter of some kind (doesnt need to be a full intake system just upgrade panel), then the code makes us of this giving more power.

On the standard GTI stage 2 gives more power right through the rev range.

Stage 2 includes an uprated fuel pump bud ;)

I am not really keen on classing stuff as stage x,y or z as they mean different things.

On the Cupra, stage 2 requires a fuel pump. I would assume that because the FR/GTi/VRS can benefit from this as well and because "stage 3" is bigger turbo, that stage 2 would be pump, exhaust, intake and remap.

I assume its only being called Stage2+ as Stage2 has been around for a while.

Its not like mine suddenly becomes Stage1 because it hasn't got a fuel pump, afterall the code is different to Stage1 - so they need something in between. Its down to the suppliers what they call it - but its harder to re-name something thats already out in the field.

For the 230/240PS version it might be that the Stage2 is with the fuel pump

Yeah, it gets confusing. Revo class stage 2 on the Cupra as fuel pump, exhaust and software. Just remembered my mate has a stage 2 MK5 GTi Golf with stock fuel pump

So there's a custom fuel pump that needs to be ordered to go to st2 ?

Uprated fuel pump or uprated pump internals. APR are working on an S3 and a Cupra at Awesome at the moment and I think 330bhp-340bhp was mentioned with the cars both having exhaust, intake and uprated pump with software to suit.

Anyone who buys an FR must be sat in the near standard seat thinking " why did i buy the slower car" I think they are just influencing by their women.
