straight through decat, no backbox, egr delete too loud?

I have that exact set up =) I love it! sounds awesome and very different!
I went and got a straight through custom job and already had the EGR delete. I got away with it at my first MOT but second MOT they told me i needed to put a box made. They passed it on the agreement I done that incase I was pulled as it was very loud outside but not inside the car. I have the box, but its never on unless its MOT time. =)

i have a mk1 pd150, straight through exhaust with a universal backbox welded in place, not much louder than normal untill you get to around 2500rpm then it sounds a bit like a tractor, get quite a bit of dark smoke when cold in the morning but goes away after 5mins of driving.

as for MOT'S, you dont need a cat on a diesel providing your car passes the smoke test, visual dont come into the mot yet (over 50 new items added in last 3months). your car should pass the smoke test when up to temprature and if its healthy
