I had the radiator replaced under warranty a couple of weeks ago because it was leaking. I haven't driven the car much since then because the nice weather and traffic jams have meant I've preferred to take my scooter to work...!!
Anyhow I started my car the other day just to move it back a couple of metres so I could open the garage door so my boyfriend could get his motorbike out. I left the car running and as I was opening the door I could hear a high pitched whining sound coming from the radiator area. I thought that it might be the fan but I wouldn't have thought it would have got hot enough to activate the fan in that short space of time.
Is this normal?? Perhaps I've just never noticed it because I've always been inside the car whilst it was running before...??
BTW it's a 1.4 75ps petrol ibiza in case this makes a difference.
