I've got a stream of water running into my passenger footwell from what looks like the centre console area. I've had quick check of the pollen filter area and that all looks dry, any ideas?

only thing i can suggest for the passenger side is to make sure your drip tray above the pollen filter is properly seated, and to take the whole pollen filter out and check around it.

I agree with connor, 99% of the time it's the pollen filter, even if it's not obvious at first. Other than you'd probably be best off removing glovebox and lower dash and having a look and see what you can see. To remove glovebox you pop the end of the dash like on the fuse panel, then you can get to the glovebox light connector etc, then from memory it's just a few torx screws and the glovebox comes out.

So I have inspected the pollen filter area again, and upon removing the pollen filter it's dripping wet, in the top right corner, (the corner closest to the passenger door). So tracing how the water would run in, I noticed this area that looks like something is missing, the guttering ends at the first arrow, so water is dripping down on to the catch tray, is this correct or am I missing a bit of plastic guttering the screws into the bottom hole (2nd arrow). Can anyone confirm this?

The design of that thing always looked more of hope than design.
The other classic leak is from the foam "sealing" tape that "seals" the plastic gubbins of the vent where it penetrates the steel bodywork.
Butyl mastic and skeleton gun will sort it. Don't wear good clothes.

the remainder of the drip tray is indeed on the cover part you've removed.

but looks like you've found your leak source if the pollen filter is wet. i had the same, the left hand part of mine had fell down and was routing the water directly into the filter.

That drip tray is in the right place but it can come loose and become disconnected at the opposite end. Try removing and refitting.
I changed the pollen filter back in the autumn and it started leaking. Had to refit it all three times until it stopped, and I still don't quite know I did wrong.

that top tray is a pain too fit and you never think its in right, always try to get my hand in the back too make sure and remember to clip that front diverter back in done that a few times lol, I've also replaced the front expanding plastic pins on the cowl panel holding it..

Guess I'll check mine now, didn't even think of water getting in there when I swapped my ecu and just threw the plastic back on.
