Stupid seat garage!!

I have had my car in for some warranty work that was trim related and when i got it back it had 5 miles on the clock and my average economy had gone down a lot, i did mention it to them and it seemed that the tech had been told off for it before,
Personally i wont be leaving my car with a dealer again i will stay with it

Well after working in a dealer for 17 years (not Seat) part of the diagnosis is road testing.
The fuel economy usually drops because the car does a lot of idling and manoeuvring around listing for noises and faults etc.
On our brand we are allowed by manufacturer to do 17 miles! Not that we do.
On the other hand if you got your car back and a fault had not been diagnosed due to not road testing you wouldn't be happy.
We only drive Seats not a Ferrari!
Yes our cars are our pride and joy but if we want them repaired that's the process we need to go through.

Should of cleared all the info on the satnav. Would tell me top speed and stuff then!

Personally i couldn't care what car i drive, i expect it to be looked after when it goes into the garage. Just because my car is only work £6k compared to a £100k ferrari, i expect it to be treated in the same way. It's not right that these mechanics think they can be sloppy in manouvering them around and bashing my door like they did, destroying adman's bumper, it's not right.
Well it's like anything there's good and bad ones.
My comment was about the volume of cars that go through dealers in a year the odd one is going to get marked.
My comment on not being a Ferrari was not meant to be how it's looked after I agree if it's only worth £1000 it should still be tret with respect.
My Ferrari comment was regarding road tests ie its a Seat not a Ferrari nobody is going to be queuing up to do loads of miles in any of our Leon's are they?

I went to dealer with leaking bonnet scuttle and engine management light on. Bearing in mind I was aware of the fault code and had the tpi for bonnet leak, I went in and told them I don't wanna come bac twice so order the parts then call me to book in. To be fair they did but wen I got the car bac I was told they had replaced the bonnet felt and cleared the faults in ecu. So basically they did nothing as I had already had faults read and cleared once and they came bac, and they knew this already!
So I now need to go bac again to get the leak actually fixed and problem sorted as eml is obviously bac on again. Its all very annoying and does put me off using the dealer but I need the warranty as its got over a year left.

Ok went to the dealer and saw my K1 today too inspect damage before it goes to the body shop.
There's a big scuff on the bottom of the bumper and thats dragged the bumper back and cracked/snapped the mounting point of the bumper just under the side of the headlight. Defiantly looks like it was done on the ramp and not on a test drive. Also checked the trip and average MPG has only dropped 0.1.
I was dealing with the manager when I was there and she was very helpful and understanding of my frustration.
Damage is definitely repairable so when I get that back and repaired it shall be straight up on the bay!
(don't worry I will advertise that's it's damage repaired. Ripping people off isn't my style)

Code is p0441 evap emissions. So I guess its pcv related. Its been on n off since February so I don't think them clearing the light really helps much!
Sounds as if you got lucky then, they could have repaired it and not told you! Did you tell them about the sealant stuff on your old bumper?
Consider yourself lucky - alot of garages would deny all knowledge / or say nothing and hope you dont notice the damage when getting the car back - then as soon as you drive off they are clean and can say it must have happened after you took the car away. Depends how noticable the damage is.
I've got a Triple-R Splitter on the front of mine now, PLUS Sportlines... Next time its in for a service, it will probably come back out with no Front bumper at all !
