Hi have purchased an americas cup model, which has the petrol engine and a subwoofer in the boot.
Is it possible to fit a space saver and the sub woofer in the car! Would much prefer a space saver over a can of foam

I had a '18 SEAT Leon and now a '25 Cupra Ateca, both with a space saver and a subwoofer, sharing the same space. I guess the same should be possible for Terramar too, but to be sure, I can take a look at the official parts catalog and see what the related illustrations show actually.

Yes it is possible to do , I purchased another plastic bolt that fastens the subwoofer in position as I found that the one that is holding down the subwoofer at the moment does not have enough thread on it. I had to extend the plastic threaded bolt by cutting it in half and inserting a plastic pipe inside it and screwing it together to extend the thread by around 20mm. I do not have any of the tools and jack in the bootspace. If i am going a distance I have a small trolley jack and extending wheel brace which i place in the footwell behind my seat as there is usually just two of us nowadays travelling.

I have been recently looking into this, how did you approach getting the foam surround sorted? Part# appears to be 83A012109N, which is shared with the Q3.. price is steep at ~£130 for just the foam, when the entire kit option from manufacturer is £200..

I came across this thread particularly because of the mention of modifying the bolt, how are the VZ2 with the Sennheiser audio system setup in the boot then? Noticed you have the America's Cup edition, but the layout would be the same in this case. This 'official' bolt states "without cupra sound only".

Not sure if anything else would be required, though I'm unsure how the face of the wheel fits below the sub enclosure/plastic middle trim, do you have any photos that you could share, what tyre size did you get? 145/85 R18? @GavinM

Edit: Found another site sharing compatability, on looks alone the foam appears to be the same:

1 - Empty = No Sennheiser audio
2 - No space saver, with black plastic in the middle = Enclosure for Sennheiser amp/system
3 - Space saver (unknown if Sennheiser is below)
4 - Space saver with clear wiring that matches sound sytem enclosure

I don't have the foam insert, just plenty of other, just incase stuff. Hope they show you what you need to see. Maybe not very professional looking the threaded bolt, but I made it to see if it done the job and seems to be okay, maybe some black tape would tidy it up a bit, just never got back round to it. It's never seen in there.

Can I ask please, with the space saver in place, is it no longer possible to move the boot floor to the lowest level? What does that do for boot capacity? It's difficult to tell from the photos how deep the wheel well is (my car is on order)

I can move the floor down 1 level with the spare wheel in place, not sure if there is another level or not but it won't go any further. The last picture is of my boot liner which is from my previous Tiguan which is a fairly good fit.

That's really helpful, thank you!

Thanks for this - really useful information to confirm my findings!

Completely different question, including anyone else..

Did any of you get a physical (booklet) owners manual? By itself, in a pouch etc?
