Sunroof

going down to purchase my FR Tdi tomorrow after a very impressive test drive last weekend (so much more talk tahn my 2001 fezzy zetec-s!!) - well when I say purchase I mean order (with delivery not until June for this spec )

spec I'm going for:
-met paint (zenith)
-ESP
-Xenon lights
-Luxury pack (elec folding mirrors, heated mirrors, heated washer jets etc)

I just can't decide wether to get a sunroof or not for £450 - do people who have climate control actually still use their sunroof or is it just a waste of money that could be put towards a re-map?

save it for a custom code remap mate really, climate control is more than enough to handle hot/cold weather TBH, the only reason i can think of paying £450 for a sunroof is that you want an extra window to clean
plus there noisy.

i wanted the exact spec as you. but i couldn't afford to wait the 12 week delivery as my car was depreciating too much at the time. i would personally have a sunroof as i like them. i find the climate control ok, hardly ever used tho to be honest, prefer it just on ordinary aircon, the xenons i believe are very good! and esp is one thing i would very much agree to having on these fiesty little beasts!!! love it love it! lol

They guy has offered me 5.9% apr - current offer - and £400 discount on the car - I'm trying to push for 700 tho for free xenons, is this ok discount or should I push for more or what?

are you part exchanging your fiesta? if not i could do the car with the bits for £14190 not inc sunroof on the road £765 discount. you might not get the 5.9% apr because there is no garantee that it will run past the end of this quarter so i think he is being optomistic.

dont just settle for the first offer shop around

Also, they salesman has contacted the Regional finance manager etc and I they have been approved to honour the 5.9% apr finance for my order even though it won't be delivered in time

near Manchester pal. The dealer said they buy the extraa such as xenons at cost.....is this bullsh1t or do they only get discount on the car?

I phoned all the dealers in Scotland and then phoned some in England to get the best price.
I can get a price for you if you want.

appreciate that!! well I'm going for a chat with him tonight cos I'd rather not have tha ball ache of arguing with another dealer to make them call finance and get the 5.0% guarunteed until delivery date.....If he's prepared to give me £700 off then he will have sale, if not then I will be on the blower quicker than you can say "deal or no deal".....

List was £9000 and got it for £8250.
I asked about a petrol FR list £12000 and he could do it for £11000.

If I were you I would sell your car privately get a loan of the net and then go for the best deal as a straight buy.
You will get 6% of the net.
The money you will save will easily cover any additional payments.

I would push for more mate, got my FR diesel for £12,700 with metallic and lux pack all in. Got 0% over 3 years as well because it was before the new year.

i work for a dealer mate iam amazed he can hold the finance until then i think he maybe telling white lies and hoping there is another finance campaign coming up.

i think the £1000 savings norrie is talking about maybe optomistic but if it meant having a deal we could come close

It's a done deal now, ended up getting £780 off in the end - getting 2k for my fezzy in 3 months time on trade in - happy with that tho as its shagged and pissing water and the passenger door card won't stay on, lol
I have it in writing that they will honour the 5.9%

I have climate but I still like using the sunroof, particularly in spring and on cooler summer days. Nothing beats proper breeze. I know summers on its way when I tilt the sunroof for the first time.
