Superchip Bluefin

OK, I've searched this forum and googled for a review of the superchip for my car.

I've got a Leon FRTDI 170 and I've got the blinkers on to buy the bluefin dongle from superchips, but nowhere seem to have any reviews. Superchips have an old road test which reads quite well but I doubt they'd have anything but good reviews on their site.

Does ANYONE have one of these fitted or driven/seen one in action and could give me any advice? It's not my intention to start a thread about the merits of REVO or any other remaps, I would just like some independent advice on the superchip product if possible.

Any help would be much appreciated, cheers
 
Yea i have found this two - wanted the Revo trail software for mine but Diesel so litle gutted. I like the sound of the Bluefin but have decided to just sell mine for a Cupra!

loving the thought of a 310bhp remap on that lady

Theres a guy on Briskodanet with a Superchips map on his Octy VRS TDI, he got 203 bhp on the rolling road.

thanks for the info -I'll read the Audi/skoda links when I get 5 at work. Unless they're bad it will be purchased by the weekend - I'll post my thoughts when it's done.

mines been running a superchips map for a while now and i called in to their place to have it on the rolling road on monday this week i had a few problems through the development period but nothing since they used a different formula, appox 6 months ago. its now producing 210 bhp with 300ftlb torque so im pretty pleased
 
Jonny, What type of driving do you do? I do a lot of town stuff which is the worst thing for DPF.

knackerdan, can't wait to hear what you think! have you got a quote from your insurance as to how much it will go up?
 
all sorts really but just recently only short trips of around 5 to 10 mins with the odd mad spell through the twisty roads and still no problems

hows does it compaire to standard. alot more usable power as i think the 170tdi is a bit lower of a grin factor than my old Ibiza FR TDI with remap to approx 170. Used to be a proper shove back when the turbo cut in on that.. and want that again... i know the power is a lot more smooth on the 170 but would still like a bit more power.

what are your 40-70 times.. if i remember correctly my standard does in about 4.3-4.5 secs timed off stop watch so not very acurate...

would like to hear the outcome?
 
Also jonnyash, what has the remap done to your fuel economy?
