If mine was running at 170 I'd have gained over 30 but it's running high.
Torque gain is nice. Car feels quick though. I'd love a remap but the hassle involved with the new encryption and warranty on a yr old car isn't worth it..
Ok, saying as how people seem so keen to p#ss on my parade, if I reduce the figures to standard (188 to 170 & 276 to 258 )and minus off the 'inflated' gain (18 in both cases)...
I'm getting +16 in bhp and +39 in ft/lbs. Superchips claim +28 bhp and +44 ft/lbs
Maybe that's why it feels quick as the torque value is close to a 'real' remap from a 'toy box' that seems to be the general opinion of these items.
All said and done, for the benefits of just being able to plug a box in and remove it/disable it whenever you want....it's pretty good gains really.
And, they CAN upload different maps if you're not happy with this one.
Yes they can never play with the curve as much as a ECU-remap can...but there are benefits.
Based on the results, I wouldn't disregard boxes in the future.
My big question: how does the ECU disregard the torque limiter simply based on what the little box of resistors is telling the sensors?
