URGENT suspension help.

right the top bolt is undone. the bottom bolt is undone but the strut just isnt coming out, e have removed the drop link but the wheel on the drivers side just doesnt want to come down enough. any help

I had to stand on my bottom arm and jump a bit, whilst a mate with a large roober hammer smacked upwards, eventually it went POING and came out. The spring was hugely compressed tho to enable the shock to move upwards.

you need to wedge a cold chisel into the wheel bearing housing to split it far enough to pull the strut out.

get your mallet and whack the strut underneath to lift it mate.

yeah thats it, but no need to compress the springs for removal!

undo top bolt, undo bottom bolt, release arb link, and tap the strut up whilst holding arm down.....

well the tie rod end is ****ed now thanks to dad .... and the strut aint coming out so i think its gonna have to go to a garage to sort it out. :(

basically my dad trys tightning the tie rod end and it just rotates in itself

tie rod end doesn't need to be done for suspension but mine were worn in the service but my dad said he would do it, now it appears he cant so i have a car with no steering in the garage and need it to be picked up an put on a truck to be carried to the nearest garage.
