Hi,
I have a Mk1 Cupra 20VT and need some advice on upgrading the shock absorbers. The car was fitted with new standard Sachs shocks and Eibach Pro springs 5 years ago, the springs are 10mm shorter than standard Cupra, so same as Cupra R I think. The car has only done 25K since then, the springs are in good condition but the shocks are not great on damping - and not well thought of on here. I don't want to spend a on new shocks, I was thinking of Bilstein B4 or simlilar. Would these be a reasonable upgrade on the Sachs, or do I need to spend more? I am more concerned with roadholding and comfort than anything else, the roads here in Lancashire are in bad condition with lots of potholes.
