I'm pretty happy with my LC these days and after having the exhaust fitted this morning I was taken for a drive in a BC coilover equipped Audi S4... I was very very impressed. So much that I'm considering some suspension work next!

At present the LC has uprated bushes but is otherwise standard. It rides well and handles well enough although I can easily find the limits when I push hard but that's me not the car... ;)

Anyway ... The suspension is original... As in ten years old and 118k miles of use I dont think will hurt to replace it... Thing is I don't want a rock hard ride... I was something compliant that stiffens up the car but without ear ache from the Wife when driving on bad roads...

So original thoughts were to uprate the dampers... I can get SACHS for around £220 then install a rear arb but then have seen cheap coilover kit's buy worry about crap build quality and rock hard suspension!

Did some research and it seems the JOM coilovers are pretty much the best VFM at the moment.

Not fussed about adjustability or massive lowering... Happy with a small drop of say 15-20mm over standard ...

Basically lets say I have a budget of £300 to spend on suspension... What would you buy?

I've done everything such as exhaust, brakes, bushes, etc... Suspension is pretty much the last thing to do but never found the standard LC suspension bad tbh.

If you scroll thru the threads there are recent thread covering this,i've just got jom coilovers for my tdi

Will have a browse. Did do a search but brought up thousands of threads...

I'm very tempted with the JOM kit ... as a first set of coilovers I think they will be excellent.

Well it seems for £300 there are quite a few coilover options...

FK ?
JOM ?
Raceland ?
Rokker ?
Jamex ?

Anyone have any experience of these?

If I go the coilover route suspect will be the AP's or v-maxx ... but still considering a shock / spring package for improved comfort over the coilovers...

Eibach sports/springs here and there ok... no bounce from the rear on B roads but not harsh either.

Rear ARB is what makes the bigest handling difference IMHO.

Happy to go down the route of Eibach springs (Pro kit) but concerned the drop will knacker the shocks on the car ... heard of the seals going when using a different part of the shaft ...

I ment to say shocks and springs. Its not that much of a drop compared to some but would get matching shocks/springs.
