She has good taste :D

Clearly!! Just hope she likes mine more though haha ;)

Both nice looking LCR's! Will be watching this thread!

Cheers matey! Still along way to go for me yet.. ;)

Cars looking great mate!

I need to get me some shiney bits under my bonnet!

Top job!!

Thanks mate. Shiney is the way forward, but not OTT.. I've got plans for more now after seeing the charge pipe fitted :D

D.K does a VERY good job of these, he takes the plaudits..

Love the charge pipe mate. Gives a nice finish to the bay

Cheers Shane :)
Totally agree with you there, it's helped me plan the rest of the bay too. Just want some warmer weather to get out there more and play now lol..

Very nice mate, polished charge pipe looks great! Polished mani next perhaps? ;)

Cheers mate. Polished mani is 100% getting done can tell you that now! D.K said the finish will come up better on mani in the warmer months so don't expect to see that done till about August lol!

4 days of work to get through this week cannot go quick enough! I want Saturday, NOW!

Tom's LCR on the rolling road at AmD...

Adam your my hero! I love it.

I've nearly done that tank of v-power since yesterday lol! It's a perfect sounding exhaust imo, quiet exactly when you want it to be, then gun it and oh my word, windows down even in this weather!! I can't get enough of driving the LCR at the moment. It's incredible. Completely different car.

It's nice that we got the tweaked AmD map too! Seems to have worked for us quite well..!

 for the vid once again. Great effort with that immense camera, lol.

sounds brill Tom

Cheers mate, this is easily the happiest I've been with the car the whole year of ownership now. Taken one year to get to stage 2, but it's been worth the wait! [B)]

Very nice Tom, bet you're well happy with those figures! Gonna go for the 300bhp barrier next??

Cheers mate.

Yeah over the moon really for it's 1st map. This time last year it made 212bhp when I 1st bought it and was bog standard, so a bit of looking after, running the right fuel etc, saw her make 241bhp before the stage 2 map as standard! So I was pleased with that just as much as the biggest figure she made.

300 barrier is the aim, why not eh? Adam has done it and he is a few more engine bay mod's ahead of me, but I'm hoping to have a 3" TIP bought and fitted by the time the AmD RR day comes along on the 20th Feb.. If this is the only 'performance' change to the car from now till then, it'll be a great way for a comparison of the 3" TIP vs the Forge TIP I've got on currently. My charge pipe is also resonated still, whereas Adam has the debaffled one Forge made late last year.

So guys and girls, as you can probably tell from Adam's video he shot of my car, yesterday saw me make my eagerly awaited trip to AmD to get the new 3" Milltek exhaust for the LCR and the stage 2 map.

Got down there for opening and met up with Adam(coops10) and his mate Kyle. Adam was in the for same work, well nearly the same ;)

Aswell as the exhaust and map, I had the front splitter replaced as I was still running the same one from a year ago when I bought it. I also had Forge 10mm & 15mm spacers fitted to the front and rear respectively, and the Forge shortshifter went in too :)

To say it's a different car is an understatement, it feels a million times better to drive! The turbo spools up earlier due to the sports cat, but the map has made it smooth and very controlled. The map still needs to settle but the early signs are very good. It made 283.5bhp and 307.2 lb/ft torque on it's final run and I was over the moon with that from where it started out.

We didn't leave AmD till about 6pm!(we did have a good 3 hour wander around Lakeside though) but the main reason was because they we're so busy, PLUS the map took a while to load onto my car. But the guys persisted and made sure the car wasn't just going to be mapped and chucked straight out. Big thanks to the guys there, and Shaun for some very very wise words indeed plus giving us an up close tour of his 2011 BTCC Golf in it's build stage. Top man :)

Aiming for more though, so I've got a couple of mods I'm mulling over to get next and see if she can kick out some more at the AmD RR day on the 20th Feb.

I will put up some pics of the RR graph for anyone interested.

One very satisfied stage 2 customer :cheeky:
