Vanilla magic tree? ;)

Haha, maybe Mark ;)

Boost gauges? Looks very nice mate, wish I could clean mine today but the weather just aint right. Will have to be interior only.

Nope.. :)
Yeah weather is sunny one minute grey the next with a threat of rain. I just do whatever I can when it's not raining. Like to do it every week ideally.

Seriously love this car. [B)]

Cheers lexxy :) it's comments like that which make it all worth it!

Oh yes that's more like it!!

It's a good thing you have gone for red hoses otherwse our engine bays would look like twins

lol :p

Red is my chosen colour, I just wish Jetex did red filters too! Might try an apexi when I need to replace the jetex one day.

UPDATE:

Polished manifold turned up today.

Big thanks to Darren, it looks awesome. :)

I've got a busy old week and am away next weekend in Spain playing Golf, so I'm not sure how soon I can get it on the car.

Will upload a pic to here tomorrow if I have time.

Back to airbox & panel filter?

Not so much an update, but more of a 'Should I or should I not?' post sorry!

So, been noticing with the gradual increase in temps, that the car is feeling progressively more laggy lower down day by day almost. I'm putting this down to the Jetex cone as I've not felt this so much before.

I'm tempted to stick the OEM airbox and Pipercross panel filter back in this week to see if it makes a difference. If it does, I'll have the jetex/jabba setup for the winter months only.

I just find with the short journeys to the gf's etc where the car doesn't get to stretch it's legs, that the lag will get worse and worse as the temps go up over the coming months.

Has anyone else found this with their Jetex setups? Would be interested to hear from you guys and how you've found the rise in temps and and 'lag' feel lower down in your LCR's.

:)

Yeah my car did not get on with the jetex cone filter for some reason i noticed the temp went up when running with it and besides my car threw a wobbly with it, so i have resorted back to the standard airbox with a green cotton pannel filter running a cold air feed to it where the old intercoolers used to sit, seems much better now i personally believe closed induction is better but each to their own, noise was good though with the jetex ideally you need to run with a heat sheild i know jabbasport sell one, but mine was deffo running rough at the time

Its interesting you say that. I originally put my cone filter on in September and wasnt impressed due to 'lag', two weeks later it was removed. I put it back on at the start of Feb having had the airbox off to check out the DSG intake for another member, I loved it straight away. Maybes its due to the cold temps outside! If you do change back I'll be interested in your findings. Also I think you do get a bit extra torque lower down with the box, if your not getting to stretch its legs then maybes you would be better off with this setup!
