Actually I am doubting myself on the width now - whatever standard is for the MK2 Leon is what I have but with ET45 rather than ET52.

Dan - cheers mate. Might message him, but this means I'd need to buy the Leon surround for the screen right? Also I'm letting my wallet recover really until end of Jan. Spent loads lately.. Clutch, diff, labour, etc..

El - Yeah I still care about the looks too :p

Al - Cheers for the info. I might get new wheels but I'll see how things pan out with the other bits I want to do first.

:)

Make one I have some carbon sheet if you want some

Hmm maybe mate cheers..

I think I'll just buy a new one in a couple of months instead though.

Hi Tom,

Sorry to do this to you buddy but this is too rare to not let you know!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Leon-Cupra-R-Recaro-Interior-Front-And-Rear-Bucket-Style-Seats-1800-Upgrade-/221168527805?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item337eabe9bd

Open to offers, and the front seat will be repaired before being dispatched. It is still a lot of money, which not many have laying arounding in their debit account but... So rare...

James :)

Haha!! James, please don't do this you're as bad as D.K, ok maybe not that bad

Jeez, I wish I could right now but it's not going to happen :(

Going out over xmas and presents, plus the clutch/diff work has made a nice dent in my account. Might have to let this one pass! :(

Thanks though mate.

Thats quite expensive for recaros
I payed just over £300 for the front and rear recaro about 3 years ago
They are more bucketed than the normal ones but if doing more trackwork over looking OE i'd opt for aftermarket seats, which is what i'll change to in the future

Yeah I've seen quite a few sets this year that have been cheaper than that. It's tempting because they're 'rarer' etc, but I won't pay that much. Spent more than enough lately.

I don't think I'll get full on aftermarket seats either mate as I do like some comfort while just cruising. The Recaro's would be what I'll change to if anything. I'm not sure how much I'll get on track yet. Will see as the year unfolds, but I'll be back on it sooner than later for sure. The diff is so good :D

t0m,

Love my liquid gauge. Fitted in air vent by drivers door by a previous owner. Mainly use it on multi gauge mode when driving. Four readings on one screen, inlet temp, coolant temp, exhuast temp and oil temp. Kinda 4 bar graphs next to each other.

Before I changed head unit lol!

Got a boost gauge to go in the A piller to now.

That's awesome mate, thanks for posting

Seems a very useful tool to have on board indeed. Going to have to take the plunge and get one next I think :D

Haha, I was going to say... I'm surprised to see someone running the old head unit!

Na the gauges will be left how they are. A square screen will look better in the vent all snug :)

No mods now for 6 odd weeks. How will I cope :D

I've always wanted a Liquid Gauge and probably will look to get one when other stuff happens to the car. The vent installation is brilliant.

Just considering my options (discreet install) and I came across this, which I like the sound of. Thought you might like to have a gander... OB port adapter and wireless software.

I promise I'm not a feeder...hahah...

Have a great Christmas Tom :)

James Parkin...... now this is something to really consider. Just watched that video and it certainly does everything I want and pretty much all the liquid gauge does. I'm impressed.

My only concern is using my iphone and the battery life, but then I ask myself how long will I really be logging for at a time? Probably not a great deal if it's 4th gear runs etc. Also I have a usb cable to an ipod now from the back of my head unit which I could use to charge my iphone if the battery gets low. Just need an adapter for the pin connection as it's an iphone 5 it's a different one, lightning usb connection it's called.

I'm thinking if I was to get one of these I could get a phone mount for the middle air vents and have it clearly visible for when I do some bhp logging and look at other data while on the move. I'm really surprised you can do so much considering the price, when you think how much full legit vagcom costs. Then you have the hassle of having your laptop in the car at the time and trying to hit a key while booting it in 4th to measure g/s flow runs.

Darren and El know of this device too and rate it highly. I could be the first to give it a go.
