Tail Lights Not Working

Hi All,

This may be a very basic problem but I am not very mechanically minded! I bought a Seat Ibiza 03 Plate a few months ago and it is my pride and joy although it is giving me a real headache at the moment!

I have recently had to have the entire engine replaced due to some other issues but I am now experiencing some problems with the electrics, mainly the lights.

I was pulled by the police earlier as my tail lights are not working. This has only happened today. I had to try and replace a fuse to get my passenger side window working again as it seemed to just randomly stop working. I also cannot for the life of me get my reverse light working, despite having the switch replaced. It now seems the tail light wont work at all, although the headlights do and so do the brake lights.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Obviously my main problem is getting the tail lights working again but if any one can advise on the reverse switch as well I would be most grateful.

Also I don't know if this has any relevance but the although the fuse was changed for the passenger window it does occasionally stop working. I have to restart the car to get it to work again and my air bag light is now on

I am so confused!! Please help!!

May be a stupid question but have you checked the fuse for the tail lights?
Are all the fuses seated correctly?

To be honest I'm not sure. I'm having trouble trying to work out which fuses are for what or if they're even working. Could this solve the reverse light problem as well?

I've checked the fuses again, they all work, then they don't then some do!! The interior light is flickering now as well! I have no idea what is going on and I'm slightly worried it may be something a little more serious now

Have you checked the battery terminals are on tight? It called also be something as simple as a loose earth connection.
